Coming Soon Banners

Developers and new owners hang a coming soon banner on a storefront still being fitted out, so neighbors know what is going in. Use one optional line for the opening season and the other for the business name, then check the live preview before you order.

Where coming soon banners are used

A developer hangs a coming soon banner on the construction fence around a retail building before any tenants are named, so neighbors and nearby shoppers know something is coming. A coffee chain puts one on the window of a former bank branch while crews fit out the counter, and a fitness studio uses another on the wall of an empty unit in a strip center. The person who orders the banner wants passersby to know what will open and roughly when, without printing a promise that could slip.

Choosing the size and where to hang it

Choose the 8 by 4 ft size for a long vacant frontage and a 4 by 2 ft or 6 by 2 ft size for a single window. The 13 oz vinyl suits storefront walls, windows, railings and fences around a site. Screws through the grommets hold it to a wall, while zip ties or bungee cords keep it on a fence or railing while work continues. Place it where drivers slow down and walkers pause, at about eye level, and keep it taut so the wording reads straight.

Questions about coming soon banners

When should I hang a coming soon banner?

Hang it once people can see the site and you are ready to name the business. Plan to swap it for a now open banner on opening day, and check your city rules on temporary signs before you put one up.

Can I leave the opening date off?

Yes. Both optional lines can stay blank, so the banner reads COMING SOON on its own. A season is easier to keep correct than an exact date if the schedule may move. Dashed example text in the preview is not printed.

What material and size should I pick?

The banner is 13 oz vinyl, the usual banner for walls, windows, railings and storefronts. You can pick OPENING SOON as the headline instead. Choose from 4 by 2 ft, 6 by 2 ft, 6 by 3 ft, 8 by 3 ft and 8 by 4 ft.

What if the opening date changes?

Order a replacement with the new wording if the date moves, and check the live preview before you pay for it. Whatever you change, the banner prints exactly as the preview shows, so read it twice.

How long should the banner stay up?

Keep it up until the day you swap in a now open banner, then take it down. Order the replacement at least two business days before opening day, since orders ship in 1 to 2 business days.
