Terms of sale

These terms apply when you buy signs from Captain Signs at www.captainsigns.com. By placing an order you agree to them.

Prices and payment

Prices are in US dollars and are shown on each sign page and in your cart, including any quantity saving. Shipping is added as shown on our shipping page, and your cart shows the total before you pay. Payment is taken when you place your order.

Made to order

Signs are printed to order with the text and options you choose. We print what you type and select, as shown in the preview. Colours on screens vary a little, and printed colours may differ slightly from what you see on your device. Sizes are the sign's outside dimensions.

Your text

You are responsible for the words, names and numbers you put on a sign. We may refuse or cancel (with a full refund) any order whose text is unlawful, hateful, threatening, uses someone else's trademark without permission, or that we otherwise will not print.

Posting laws and safety signs

Our state guides and the builder's state checks explain posting laws in plain words and link the statute, to help you choose a sign. They are not legal advice, laws change, and local rules can add requirements. You are responsible for posting your property and for meeting workplace and building rules. Our printed safety signs are not tactile (raised letter or braille) signs.

Shipping, returns and replacements

Delivery times and costs are on the shipping page. Signs are made to order, so we do not take change-of-mind returns; damaged or misprinted signs reported within 30 days of delivery are reprinted or refunded as described on our returns page.

Liability

If something goes wrong with an order, our responsibility is limited to reprinting the sign or refunding what you paid for it.
