Now Open Banners

A coffee stand, dental office or repair shop hangs a now open banner on opening morning, so passing drivers and walkers know the doors are open. The optional lines can carry the hours or the business name, and the live preview shows the final wording before you order.

Where now open banners are used

A bakery puts a now open banner on the sidewalk side of its front window on the morning of its first day, so people who walk past can tell the doors are open. A new tire shop hangs one on the railing beside its service bays, and a yoga studio puts another on the wall above the entrance to its parking area. Each owner is trying to turn people who have only seen the building under construction into first-time customers. The banner does that work without a staff member standing outside with a sign.

Choosing the size and where to hang it

A 6 by 2 ft banner suits a narrow entrance, and the 8 by 4 ft size spans a wide storefront or a long fence line. The 13 oz vinyl is the material for walls, windows, railings and storefronts. Use screws through the grommets on a wall, and zip ties or bungee cords on a railing. Pull the vinyl flat before you tighten the last tie, so the lettering reads straight from the street.

Questions about now open banners

Should I put the hours on a now open banner?

Hours answer the first question a passing customer has, so they make a useful second line on a busy road. If the hours need the room, a shorter OPEN headline is also available. Keep them brief, such as Mon to Sat 8 am to 6 pm.

Is the banner printed on both sides?

No. Every banner prints on one side only, so it reads correctly from the side that faces the street. Plan the spot first, then turn the printed side toward the people you want to reach.

How do I fix it to a railing?

Run zip ties or bungee cords through the grommets around the edge, then wrap them around the railing. Pull each one tight so the banner does not flap in the wind. A wall takes screws through the grommets instead.

Can I order banners for more than one location?

Yes. Ordering 10 or more of the same banner saves 15%, and 5 or more saves 10%. Each location can use the same wording with its own hours line typed for each one.

How high should the banner hang?

Choose a height where people walking or driving by can read the words without stopping, and where the banner clears the sidewalk. Keep it taut, since a loose edge makes the lettering harder to follow.
