Questions about respirator required signs
Danger or Caution?
Yellow Caution is the default for a hazard with minor or moderate injury risk. Choose red Danger when the air in the space could cause death or serious injury. Your safety officer decides which applies to the room.
Does the sign replace a respirator program?
No. A sign cannot stand in for respirator selection, training or fit testing. Check your local code and safety officer for what your site must have in place before anyone enters.
How should I mount it?
Mount the 24 x 18 in landscape size at eye height beside the door so people read it before they enter. Use the 1/4 in holes at the top corners on a door, or the four corners on a wall. Plastic is a lighter option for a temporary booth.
