Questions about restrooms for customers only signs
Where should I post a customers only restroom sign?
Put it on the restroom door at eye height, and repeat it by the register or the entrance so people read it before they ask. Use the same wording on each sign so the rule is clear everywhere in the shop.
What does Ask for the key do?
It tells people to ask a staff member for the key, which suits a locked restroom. If you do not lock the room, leave the line out. The live preview shows the text as you type, and you can change it any time before you order.
Is a restroom rule allowed where I live?
Check your local rules before you limit a restroom. Some towns and states have requirements for restrooms open to the public, and what fits one place may not fit another. Ask your city or county office if you are not sure.
