Sold Signs
Agents and home sellers hang a sold sign over the listing panel once the home is sold, so neighbors and passing drivers see it is taken. Farm sellers use the same word on an animal pen, and owners of trailers or boats use it on a post, with a thank you line in the extra space.

Where sold signs are used
A seller who accepts an offer on a lot in a new subdivision may want the word up before closing, so neighbors and drivers know the parcel is taken. Owners of a grain bin or a metal shed that has changed hands can put a panel on the door or the side wall. A tractor parked at the end of a lane, or a camper at the edge of a driveway, can carry one too once a buyer has been found. The panel tells passersby the item is spoken for, so they do not stop to ask.
Choosing the size and where to hang it
Fix the panel to a post or frame you already own, using aluminum holes or plastic grommets, whichever you order. The 18 by 12 inch size suits a door or grain bin side, and the 24 by 18 inch size reads from a driveway. Aluminum suits an outdoor post in rain and sun, and plastic is light for a short stay. Reflective aluminum helps if the item sits on a road that people drive at dusk.
Questions about sold signs
Where should a sold sign go?
Hang it on the same post as the listing sign, so it covers the listing panel in the same spot. If you have no post, a fence or a window works. A 12 x 18 in portrait sign fits a narrow post, and a 24 x 18 in landscape sign reads from the curb.
Can I change the thank you line?
Yes. The sample line Thank you, neighbors can be swapped for a note such as Thank you for your business. The preview shows the line under SOLD as you type. Keep it short so it reads at a glance from the street.
Which colors and material suit a sold sign?
White on red stands out at the curb, white on blue suits a calmer street, and black on white works for a farm pen or trailer. Aluminum is rust-free for a sign that stays out in weather, and plastic is light enough to move between listings.
Does the order include a stake or a frame?
We print the panel only. No stake, frame or rider comes with it, so fix the panel to a post or frame you already have. Bolts through aluminum holes or zip ties through plastic grommets are the usual choices. The live preview shows the panel exactly as it will print before you buy.
Can the sold sign carry a date instead of a thank you?
Yes. Type a month, a year or a short thank you on the extra line, whichever you need. Keep the line brief so the word SOLD stays the largest thing on the panel. Switch the extra line off if you want only the printed word.
