Trail Closed Signs
Park managers, landowners and HOAs put this sign at a trailhead or path junction when a route is closed for repairs or hazards. It stops walkers before they reach the closure, so nobody has to turn around deep in the woods.

Questions about trail closed signs
Can I say when the trail will reopen?
Yes. Type a line such as Reopening in spring, and it prints under CLOSED. The sample line says Until further notice. Your words show in the live preview right away. If the trail is public, check your local rules before you close it.
What size works at a trailhead?
The 24 x 18 in landscape size is easiest to read from the trail entrance. The 12 x 18 in portrait size fits a post at a path junction. A 12 x 12 in square suits a gate or a fence rail near the closed section.
Should I use aluminum or plastic for a closed trail?
Aluminum is .040 in thick and rust-free. Choose it for a sign that stays up through weather and gets bumped. Plastic is light, flexible, printed on one side, and has brass grommets, so it suits a short-term closure on a fence.
