Church Banners

Churches and parish halls hang a church banner on the front lawn, the entrance fence or the wall beside the door, so visitors know where to park and when services meet. Type the church name on the big line, add service times or a short welcome, or pick the ALL ARE WELCOME design.

Where church banners are used

A congregation that meets in a school gym hangs a church banner on the gym's entrance fence, so families see it on Sunday mornings. A small group at the road wants drivers to see the building before they reach the lot, and a church with a new Sunday schedule puts a banner on the fence to announce the service times. Each church wants visitors to recognize the name quickly and know when to come, without reading a long notice at the door.

Choosing the size and where to hang it

A lawn sign with the church name and service times suits the 8 by 3 ft size, and a fence beside the walk suits the 6 by 2 ft size. The 8 by 4 ft size gives a wide lawn the most room. The 13 oz vinyl suits fences, railings and the wall beside a door. Screws through the grommets hold it to a wall, and zip ties or bungee cords hold it to a railing or fence.

Questions about church banners

What goes on the big line?

Type the church name as members say it, since line one is the largest text and the required line. Use the optional lines for service times, such as Sunday 9 and 11 am, or for a short welcome. The preview shows the wording exactly before it prints.

Which design should I choose for a welcome sign?

The ALL ARE WELCOME design gives visitors a clear greeting on its own. Pair it with the church name in your own words, or hang it alone on a fence by the entrance. Either way, the banner is text only, with no logo or photo.

Can our church logo go on the banner?

The builder sets words only, so a church logo or picture cannot be added. Use the church name and the service times on the lines instead, and the preview shows how they will print.

Can the banner name a special service, such as a holiday?

Yes. Put the special service on one optional line, such as Christmas Eve service at 7 pm, and the regular times on the other. The preview shows whether both lines fit at the size you choose.

Should we keep the ALL ARE WELCOME design up all year?

No single answer fits every congregation. The design works alone or beside your name, and a second banner with other wording lets you swap the message. Each banner prints one set of wording.
