Can I put it on a cabinet?
Yes. The 12 x 18 in portrait size suits a single cabinet door, and the 18 x 12 in landscape fits a room door. Plastic is light and printed on one side, which suits a cabinet you may move. Aluminum is the firmer pick for a fixed wall.
How do I mount it on a door?
