No Vaping Signs
Offices, schools, restaurants and apartment lobbies post this sign at doors and entrances where people gather, and it names both smoking and vaping. That tells guests and staff the rule covers e-cigarettes too, not only cigarettes, and the extra line can add a note such as Thank you.

Where no vaping signs are used
A no smoking or vaping sign goes on the entry door of a climbing gym, the glass of a barber's waiting area, or a coffee shop's hallway where people step out to vape. The sign covers both, so a guest does not assume an e-cigarette is allowed. Staff at a movie theater lobby also post one near the ticket line. Adding the word vaping leaves no room for a guest to guess.
Choosing the size and where to hang it
Just beside the door, at eye height, the sign is read before a guest steps inside or out. The 18 in x 12 in size suits a single door, and the 24 in x 18 in size reads from a lobby entry. Aluminum is the right pick for an exterior door, since it takes rain and sun. Plastic is light and suits an indoor glass door or a lobby wall. Check your state and local rules before you set a smoking or vaping area near the doors.
Questions about no vaping signs
Does this sign cover vape pens?
The printed text says NO SMOKING OR VAPING, so it covers both. Whether a vaping rule can be enforced depends on your local laws and your building's policy, so check both before you post it at a public door.
Where should it go on a building?
Put it at each main door, on the glass beside the door and at the edge of any patio. Guests see it before they step inside. A 12 x 18 in portrait sign fits a door frame, and an 18 x 12 in sign suits a window or wall.
Plastic or aluminum at the door?
Aluminum is the better choice for an entrance that sees weather and constant handling, with a rust-free .040 in sheet. Plastic works for an indoor lobby or a temporary notice, and it is light to move.
Should the line say the rule covers the whole property?
Use the extra line for that only if the rule covers the whole lot, such as Smoke and vape free property, and the policy really does. A wider rule needs staff who can enforce it at each entry. Keep the printed NO SMOKING OR VAPING words as the main message.
What if guests vape outside the door?
The sign states the rule, but the spot outside is your call. If the sidewalk belongs to you, a second sign at the curb can say the rule extends to that spot. If the sidewalk is public, check your state and local rules before you post anything there.
