Questions about restricted area signs
Where should a restricted area sign go on a door?
Mount it at eye level on the door, on the side people approach from, so it is read before anyone opens it. For double doors, one sign on each leaf keeps the rule visible from either side.
Danger or notice for a restricted zone?
Danger (red) fits a zone where entry could cause death or serious injury, such as a live electrical room or a chemical storage room with a hazard inside. Notice (blue) fits a plain access rule, such as a staff-only office or a records room, where no hazard message is needed.
