Sign symbol credits

The symbols on our signs are standard pictograms people already know from safety and park signs, not drawings of our own.

Safety symbols (ISO 7010)

Hazard triangles, prohibition circles, must-wear blue circles, first aid, exits and fire equipment use the ISO 7010 safety sign symbols, from the drawings on Wikimedia Commons that their authors released to the public domain. Using these symbols does not by itself make a sign meet a workplace or building rule; see our terms.

Park and recreation pictograms

Pictograms such as the tent, swimmer, fishing, picnic table, playground, dog on a leash and restroom figures come from the NPS map symbol library in SVG form, used under this licence:

The wall-mounted camera on video surveillance signs is the "Video surveillance logo" from Wikimedia Commons, in the public domain.

Other icons

A few everyday symbols with no standard pictogram (a key, a clock, a house, a store front and similar) are Google Material Symbols, used under the Apache License 2.0.

Team banner artwork and lettering

The baseball, softball, soccer ball, volleyball, football, hockey stick and puck, and trophy on our team banners are from Noto Emoji by Google, used under the Apache License 2.0. The script and college-style lettering use the Kaushan Script and Graduate typefaces, under the SIL Open Font License (Graduate).
