Where football team banners are used

A middle school athletic director buys one for the hallway by the gym doors, where families walk in on game night. A youth league hangs a second on the end zone fence during a Saturday game, so parents in the parking lot can read the team name. A high school team's parent group puts a third on a wall in the banquet room for the season-end dinner. The buyer wants the team name and the roster easy to read from across a parking lot or down a long corridor.

Choosing the size and where to hang it

On the end zone fence, the 6 by 3 ft size covers one panel, and it is the size most teams pick. For a long run of chain link, the 8 by 3 ft or 8 by 4 ft size keeps the words readable down the whole line. Mesh is the pick for an outdoor fence, since its open holes give the wind somewhere to go. Solid vinyl suits the hallway or the banquet wall. Tie the grommets with zip ties or bungee cords, and keep the top edge straight.

Questions about football team banners

Are pro or college logos allowed?

No. We do not print professional or college team names or logos. This page is for youth, middle school and high school teams, and a school name typed as text is fine on the bottom line.

What if our school logo needs to go on it?

The builder cannot place logos. Upload a logo your school or league owns or has permission to use, and we email a mockup within 1 business day. Design it for me costs $35, plus $35 more if we create a new logo. Two rounds of changes are included, and nothing prints until you approve the mockup.

How soon can a homecoming banner ship?

Banners ship in 1 to 2 business days. Shipping is $9.99, and orders of $99 or more ship free. One 6 by 3 ft banner at $57.95 pays shipping, while two of them qualify for free shipping. With Design it for me, printing waits until you approve the mockup.

Can the player lines include a position?

Yes. Each player line takes a number and a name, such as 22 Luis R., and a short position like RB can follow the name if it fits. Keep it brief so the line stays easy to read from the stands. The live preview shows the banner exactly as it prints, so check the spacing before you order.

Can the season record go on the banner?

Yes. The top line takes the season, such as Fall 2026, and the bottom line can take a league, a school or a record such as 6 and 2. Any text you type prints as you wrote it, so check capital letters and spacing in the preview. Switch off whichever optional line you do not need.
