Where softball team banners are used

A rec league coach hangs one on the fence along the third base line on picture day, so families know which field the team plays on. A travel program prints another for its tournament check-in table, where it faces every family that signs in. A park pavilion gets a third on its bleacher rail for the end-of-season party. The coach who orders it wants the team name, the age group and the players to read clearly from a few steps away.

Choosing the size and where to hang it

The 6 by 3 ft size reads well from the bleachers, and it is the one most teams hang. For a check-in table or a pavilion post, the 4 by 2 ft or 6 by 2 ft size keeps the banner at a manageable height. Use vinyl mesh on a chain link fence near the parking area, since its open holes let wind pass. Solid vinyl suits a pavilion wall. Zip ties or bungee cords through the grommets hold it, pulled tight so the edges do not flap.

Questions about softball team banners

Where does the age group go on the banner?

Put it on the bottom line, which takes a league, school, division or coach. Write 12U or 14U there. The top line is for the season, such as Summer 2027, and you can switch either optional line off if you do not need it.

Which style puts the ball front and center?

Varsity sets the ball in the middle with the players listed on either side. Big ball runs a huge ball off the right edge on a dark team color. Script places the ball on the left, under a flowing team name with a swoosh.

Can a league order several banners at once?

Ordering five or more of the same banner saves 10%, and ten or more saves 15%. A league that hangs one at each field can order the set together, so every field carries the same look.

Does the ball change if we pick other team colors?

No. The softball keeps its optic yellow ball with red stitching in every style, so the ball stays the same no matter which colors you pick. Your two team colors fill the rest of the banner, such as the background and the team name. The live preview shows how the colors sit together before you order.

Can a player go on the roster with a nickname?

Yes. Each player goes on one line with the number first, and the name can be a nickname if the team uses one, such as 7 Gus R. or 21 Bree. Players can be typed in any order, and the preview shows the lines as they will print, so you can check each spelling before you order.
