Questions about no food or drink signs
Where should a no food or drink sign go?
Mount it on the door or wall at each entrance to the area, at eye level so people see it before they bring a cup inside. Add one on the break room door if it opens to the work area, so staff know where food is allowed.
Notice or caution for a food rule?
Caution (yellow) fits a work area where food or drink could lead to a minor or moderate injury, such as a shop with sharp tools or hot equipment. Notice (blue) fits a plain rule with no hazard, such as an office or a reception area where food is simply not allowed.
