Retirement Banners

Coworkers, an office team or a family order a retirement banner with a photo for someone leaving the job. Upload the photo (a phone shot works), and the page finds the face and frames it for you. Pick one of three layouts, type the words, then choose a color pair. Sizes run from 4 by 2 ft to 8 by 4 ft for a break room or a backyard party.

Where retirement banners are used

A break room wall gives the whole team a view of the photo. The photo on the left layout suits a wall that people pass on the way to lunch, and the name reads from across the room. An office party or a clinic send-off suits the photo in a ring, with confetti and a script line that guests notice from the back of the room. A restaurant room takes the instant photo, and a backyard party puts the banner on the back fence.

Choosing the size and where to hang it

Use the 6 by 3 ft or 8 by 3 ft for a break room or restaurant room wall. The 8 by 4 ft works along a backyard fence. Choose vinyl mesh when the banner goes on chain link, because wind passes through its small holes. Solid vinyl suits a wall indoors. Thread zip ties or bungee cords through the grommets to hold it snug.

Questions about retirement banners

Do we need permission to use a studio photo?

Usually, yes. The order page has a box to check: you took the photo, or you may print it. A studio portrait usually needs the photographer's print release, so get that first. A snapshot taken by a coworker still needs the box checked before you order.

How sharp will the photo look once it is printed?

A note under the photo shows how sharp it will print at the size you chose. Switch to another size and the note updates, so you can compare before you order. The live preview shows the banner exactly as it prints, so the screen shows what arrives.

Which layout fits a retirement banner?

Photo on the left gives a clean, classic look: the photo sits beside a top line, a big line, a line under it and a small line. Photo in a ring adds confetti and a script line, which suits a party. Instant photo is a tilted print on white with confetti, so it reads like a snapshot pinned up for the day.

Does ordering several copies lower the price?

Yes. Five or more copies of one banner save 10%, and ten or more save 15%. Those savings count copies of the same banner with the same photo and words. If each copy needs a different name, each banner is its own design, and the copies do not add up.

How soon does a retirement banner ship?

Retirement banners ship in 1 to 2 business days. If you choose Design it for me, a mockup reaches your inbox within 1 business day of your files and notes. Two rounds of changes are included, and nothing is printed until you approve it.
