Choosing the size and where to hang it
Pick the sport first, then choose the size that suits the spot. A 6 by 3 ft banner suits one team on a field fence, and the 4 by 2 ft size fits an equipment room wall or a narrow entrance hall. Use vinyl mesh on an outdoor fence, where the open holes let wind through. Solid 13 oz vinyl suits an indoor wall, such as a community center hall. Run zip ties or bungee cords through the grommets, and pull them snug so the banner lies flat.
Questions about sports team banners
Which sports can I pick?
Baseball, softball, soccer, basketball, volleyball, football and hockey. The artwork follows the sport you choose, so a hockey banner shows a rink in the Seams style and a softball banner shows a yellow ball with red stitching.
Is there a saving on several of the same banner?
Yes. Five or more of the same banner save 10%, and ten or more save 15%. The saving counts copies with the same words, such as one club banner for every field. Banners with different team names are priced one by one.
Does a mesh banner suit a rec field fence?
Yes, when the fence is exposed to wind. The vinyl mesh has small open holes so the wind passes through. It has the same sizes and prices as the solid vinyl banner, and you hang it with zip ties or bungee cords through the grommets.
Can I order a sport that is not on the list?
The builder offers seven sports: baseball, softball, soccer, basketball, volleyball, football and hockey. Each one has its own artwork, so a sport outside that list is not offered in the builder. Pick the one that matches your team, then type the team name and roster as usual.
Can each child's banner use different colors?
Yes. Each banner has its own colors, so a soccer banner can be navy and gold while the softball banner is maroon and white. Choose one of the 16 pairs for every banner, then check the live preview before you order.
