Questions about trucks turning signs
Caution or warning?
CAUTION (yellow) fits a turn where a truck could brush a car or a fence, and the likely result is a minor or moderate injury. WARNING (orange) fits a tight turn with people on foot nearby, where a crash could cause serious injury. Look at the worst case from the driver's seat, and choose the header to match.
Where should it go?
Mount it on a post or wall facing oncoming traffic and people, at the point where they enter the turn. If trucks can come from two directions, put a second sign on the other approach.
Which size and material?
The 36 x 24 in landscape size is easier to read from a driver's seat. Aluminum (.040 in) is rigid and takes corner holes for bolts, while plastic (.020 in) is lighter and uses brass grommets for quick zip-tie mounting.
