Use DANGER (red) when the work area can cause death or serious injury, such as falling material, open holes or live equipment. Use CAUTION (yellow) for a building wrap or storefront remodel where the main risk is a bump or a trip. Check with your site safety officer before you choose.

Attach it to the fence or barrier facing the sidewalk or lot, at eye level and at each entrance to the work zone. On a storefront, post it where it stays visible from the walk, not hidden behind plastic sheeting.

Aluminum (.040 in) is rigid, rust-free and takes holes at the corners for screws or bolts to a fence. Plastic is light and printed on one side, with brass grommets for zip ties, which suits a short job or a sign you move often. Pick aluminum for a longer job.
