Where celebration of life banners are used

Families set a celebration of life banner beside the guest book table, so people see the name and photo as they arrive. A funeral home reception room hangs one behind the photo table, and a church or club hall puts one on the wall by the door. Outdoors, it goes on a fence at a graveside gathering or a balloon release. Some families order one for a memorial golf or softball day, or for a fundraiser held in the person's name. Afterward, many families keep the banner.

Choosing the size and where to hang it

The upright layout comes in 2 by 4 ft and 3 by 6 ft and sits on an easel by the door. For the hall wall or the wall behind the photo table, a wide 6 by 3 ft or 8 by 3 ft banner gives the name room. Wide sizes also come in vinyl mesh, which lets wind pass through its small holes, so mesh suits a chain link fence outdoors. Use zip ties or bungee cords through the grommets, and pull it snug.

What do we type on the banner?

Type the name on the big line and the years, such as 1946 - 2026, on the line under it. A top line such as Celebrating the life of, and a small line such as Forever in our hearts or A life well lived, finish it. Dashed example words in the preview are not printed, so only the words you type reach the banner.

Can we use an old photo or a scan of a print?

Yes. A phone photo or a scan of a print works, saved as a JPG, PNG or WEBP file. You can drag the photo and zoom, and a note shows how sharp it will print at the size you chose. We print the photo as you send it and do not retouch or restore it, so pick the clearest copy you have.

How soon should we order for the service?

Order as soon as the date is set. A banner ships in 1 to 2 business days, then ground shipping takes 2 to 5 business days, and we cannot promise arrival by a certain date. Shipping costs $9.99 and is free once the order reaches $99. The Design it for me option adds a mockup step to that time.

Which layout works on an easel by the door?

Upright is the layout made for an easel. It is a tall banner with the photo big in a frame, a top line, the name and a bottom line. It comes in 2 by 4 ft at $31.95 and 3 by 6 ft at $71.95. The other three layouts, photo on the left, photo in a ring and instant photo, come in the wide sizes.

Can someone else lay out the banner for us?

Yes. Choose Design it for me for an extra $35, then upload the photo and your notes. We email a mockup within 1 business day and include 2 rounds of changes. Nothing is printed until you approve it. If a club or event needs a new logo, that is $35 more. It leaves one less task in a busy week.
