Questions about first aid signs
Where should a first aid sign be mounted?
Put it on or directly above the cabinet or wall box that holds the kit, so it is the first thing a person sees. If the kit sits inside a room, add one on that room's door too. Your employer's first-aid rules or local code set how many kits you need, so check with your safety officer.
Aluminum or plastic for a kit cabinet?
Aluminum is .040 in thick, rust-free and printed on one or two sides, with 1/4 in holes for a screw mount. Plastic is .020 in, light and flexible, printed on one side and fitted with brass grommets for a hook or tie.
Can I add a floor or room name?
Yes. Type a floor, hall or room name into the optional line, such as Floor 2 or Room 114. Check the preview for spacing and spelling before you place the order, since the sign is printed exactly as shown.
